Bringing Nature’s Elegance to You

My name is Eulogio Baldonaza Jr., but you can call me Gio. Floral design has been my calling for as long as I can remember. It all began during college, when I proudly represented Columban College in a floral design competition and had the privilege of learning from the legendary Renee Villanueva. That experience lit a creative fire in me—and confirmed that this was more than just a skill. It was a passion with purpose.

 

I was also selected to represent my school in an International Practicum Training Program in Singapore, where I was introduced to the elegance, precision, and depth of the hospitality industry. That experience, paired with my degree in Hospitality Management, gave me the tools to understand not only how to create beauty, but how to create unforgettable experiences.

 

After moving to the United States, I worked with high-end floral studios in Los Angeles, serving elite clientele in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and beyond. I later moved to Phoenix, where I continued to grow as a designer—earning my Arizona Master Florist Certification, receiving the Sharon Loma Scholarship, and being named Designer of the Year (People’s Choice). I was also deeply honored to be recognized as Floral Designer of the Year by Gawad America, celebrating Filipino excellence in the arts.

 

As a designer, I consider myself a naturalist. Nature is my greatest inspiration—its lines, movement, and quiet wisdom shape the way I approach every arrangement. I believe flowers are storytellers, and I strive to let their natural beauty lead the way.

 

Along my journey, I’ve studied under some of the most respected names in the industry, including Phil Rulloda, Bart Hassam, Tom De Houwer, and Nicolaus Peters. I’m also deeply inspired by the artistry of Hitomi Gilliam and Gregor Lersch, whose work continues to challenge and inspire me.

 

In 2023, I passed the Professional Florist Design Evaluation (PFDE) with a high score, earning membership into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD)—a milestone I will always hold close to my heart.

 

In 2024, I had the honor of competing as a Sylvia Cup contestant, one of the most prestigious floral design competitions in the country, hosted by the Society of American Florists.

 

Today, I continue to teach, create, and share my love for floral design—blending hospitality, heart, nature, and high design in everything I do. Whether I’m crafting a bouquet, leading a workshop, or building large-scale installations, my mission remains the same: to inspire people through the language of flowers.
